Today baby Robert came by for a visit and a snuggle. He was a dream and he slept the whole visit. My favourite photo from the whole day is when older brother John was more interested in trains that snuggling his brother (my son was much the same at that age.)
My favourite kind of Fairy photo shoot is the collaborative kind. This shoot was so special because it blended two families (and playmates) together for a lovely little tea party at the end. These girls worked up an appetite playing fairies in the woods on such a beautiful day so we quickly finished all the yummy treats and lemonade and then got to work spreading some fairy dust around the farm.
A couple of days ago I was honoured to be able to capture so many beautiful Mother's with their children (or baby bumps) during a special Mother's Day event at Bellies In Bloom Maternity. I had so much fun, got flirted with by the cutest men under the age of one and really saw the true connection between so many children and their parents. It was a lovely evening, the Bellies In Bloom ladies were amazing hosts and we made a very special donation for the Victoria Pregnancy Centre.
Thanks to all the mothers out there for all that you do! Happy Mother's Day!
On Sunday I had the opportunity to do Fairy Mini's at the Wind and Willow Children's Fair. I had an absolute blast doing these! It was so cool to see almost all my dresses and props all set up in one area, and the best part was all the excited little fairies, elves and lost boys I met! They all took their fairy duties quite seriously and we made some pure magic!
Here are just a couple of the magical little people that crossed my path!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of snuggling baby Cohen! He is the nephew of my good friend (and often assistant) Jena so I even got a few extra snuggles in! He is such a little cutie with his adorable big lips and sweet little wrinkles. Seriously, so cute!
Yesterday I had the honour of capturing three fairies and a little elf running through the woods up at Mary's Farm. These little fairies were excellent at fairy poses and we had a blast exploring the woods spreading magic before we headed into the meadow to have a little tea party!
I have only had a quick glance at these photos since I was snapping more photos of fairies today at the Wind and Willow Children's Fair but here is a sneak peek as I know their mom's can't wait to see! :) I'll have more up tomorrow!
After a beautiful week of sunshine we unfortunately had a grey, wet weekend. But these two adventurous people had travelled all the way over from the mainland for this shoot and we braved the rain to take some fun photos. Melissa and Matthew have known each other for a long time and they were very in tune with each other which helped get some great shots. As soon as I told them where to pose they would get close and were pros at posing for me (or maybe just forgetting the camera was there and just showing how much in love with each other they are?) I am very excited to photograph their wedding later this summer!
A few weeks ago I photographed this little cutie's family while she was still on the inside and today I had the pleasure of snuggling her. She was a dream to photograph and slept nearly the whole time (sorry Mom and Dad!) We got some absolutely beautiful photos of her and she even smiled for the camera! And now I have had enough baby snuggles to last me a few more weeks.
These two made my job super easy today. They not only looked great but they just oozed chemistry and naturally gravitated to each other. After starting our day in a spot that was special to them we explored a few other locations and I swear I did not get a bad photo of them all day. Thanks for a fun afternoon you two!
This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful, fun and intimate wedding of Courtney and Terry. The entire beautiful affair took place at the Parkside Hotel and we had fun exploring all the interesting corners for beautiful photo opportunities. And of course once the music started all the kids got partying on the dance floor. My favourite part of the whole day was a surprise for the bride and groom from the ladies at Designer Weddings; a strolling candy table!
