I got to meet two of the happiest babies today at the beach. They were super cute and sweet while I photographed them with their parents and it was the most beautiful day to spend on a quiet, sunny beach.
On Saturday I was honoured to offer my services for Blossoming at the Farm's first Family Fun Day. This fundraiser was to help highlight the programming of this wonderful school, the beauty of the farm and the work they do there and the proceeds went towards providing accessible programming for children and youth.
The whole day was amazingly fun. There were farm games, face painting, animal interactions (who doesn't like feeding llamas?) disc golf and so much more! I was there to photograph the families or fairies that crossed my path and I had a ton of fun with it!
And of course I have to give a special thanks to my two little men who helped me all day (glitter count down anyone?) and had the biggest smiles on their dirty, candy fuelled faces at the end of the day!
Here are some of my faves from the day!
Adorable Hudson is turning one in a few days and today we got the celebrations off early with a little cake smash! His mom made all the props and cake for his "Wild One" theme and it looked absolutely amazing. He was super cute dancing to the Wiggles and smiling during a little Facetime with Dad. Happy Birthday Hudson!
I have been very fortunate to have many former clients become friends over the years and Erica and her family are one of those I've been lucky enough to keep in my life. I first met Erica through a mutual friend when she hired me to photograph her wedding. And now I have gotten to not only document her growing family but be a part of their lives.
Today we had an excellent day at their house photographing their beautiful new daughter Hazel while our boys played together. And Hazel was a dream to photograph even though she was far too interested in me and my camera to sleep. And she looks so much like her brother did at that age!
Today I met this fun family at Mount Doug and we did a nice little hike until we found a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean and took advantage of all the beauty of nature. These kids were super sweet and great at giving me smiles.
Today baby Robert came by for a visit and a snuggle. He was a dream and he slept the whole visit. My favourite photo from the whole day is when older brother John was more interested in trains that snuggling his brother (my son was much the same at that age.)
My favourite kind of Fairy photo shoot is the collaborative kind. This shoot was so special because it blended two families (and playmates) together for a lovely little tea party at the end. These girls worked up an appetite playing fairies in the woods on such a beautiful day so we quickly finished all the yummy treats and lemonade and then got to work spreading some fairy dust around the farm.
A couple of days ago I was honoured to be able to capture so many beautiful Mother's with their children (or baby bumps) during a special Mother's Day event at Bellies In Bloom Maternity. I had so much fun, got flirted with by the cutest men under the age of one and really saw the true connection between so many children and their parents. It was a lovely evening, the Bellies In Bloom ladies were amazing hosts and we made a very special donation for the Victoria Pregnancy Centre.
Thanks to all the mothers out there for all that you do! Happy Mother's Day!
On Sunday I had the opportunity to do Fairy Mini's at the Wind and Willow Children's Fair. I had an absolute blast doing these! It was so cool to see almost all my dresses and props all set up in one area, and the best part was all the excited little fairies, elves and lost boys I met! They all took their fairy duties quite seriously and we made some pure magic!
Here are just a couple of the magical little people that crossed my path!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of snuggling baby Cohen! He is the nephew of my good friend (and often assistant) Jena so I even got a few extra snuggles in! He is such a little cutie with his adorable big lips and sweet little wrinkles. Seriously, so cute!
