As horrible as this smoke is for our beautiful province I feel it makes the photos I've taken over the last few days a little magical. A few weeks ago I met one half of this lovely family on the beach for photos and today I got to meet the other half. It was a great family session despite the smoke and I got some great shots of everyone that showed their obvious connection and love for each other.
Last year I photographed Alice for her 2nd birthday and we continued the tradition with a little shoot today, and to make it more special we got to add her little sister to the mix this year! It was crazy smokey out this morning but I thought it added a little magic to the gardens at HCP. We explored every little corner of the gardens to find all the little beautiful little spots and find all the creatures and flowers we could.
I have been looking forward to Melissa and Matthew's wedding since they braved a rainy day to do engagement photos with me. Their wedding did not disappoint. It was one of the more intimate and lovely weddings I have attended, from their vows matching, to the happy tears that everyone shed (including me during the speeches) and the fact that every guest joined us on our photography adventures around town. There were so many beautiful moments between these guys and their families. It was a wedding I will remember and I am sure everyone who attended woke up with warm hearts this morning.
Melissa and Matthew, thanks for letting me be a part of your love story for a day.
I am so excited that my beautiful friend Amber is expecting a baby girl this fall! Since she lives up island I don't get to see her as much as I'd like so this weekend we headed up for a visit and some photos of her adorable baby bump.
After some cozy photos around the house with Ryan and the cats (who were as uncooperative as cats usually are) we headed out to Air Force Beach to take some photos in the beautiful hazy light.
Amber and Ryan; I can't wait to meet your beautiful daughter and give her all the snuggles!

My good friend Natalie, who's older children are the same ages as mine, recently had the cutest little lady join the family. Today I was lucky enough to get to photograph her. She was a dream, sleeping and making cute faces for the photos, and I got adorable snuggles so it was an extra bonus!
I got to meet two of the happiest babies today at the beach. They were super cute and sweet while I photographed them with their parents and it was the most beautiful day to spend on a quiet, sunny beach.
Today I also had some fun doing photos with Brooklyn around Beacon Hill Park. Brooklyn watches my boys for me occasionally and they love her, so I was excited to take some photos of her today as a thank you, and my son Alexander even helped out a little. She made my job so easy, and we got some beautiful photos of this beautiful girl.
Today I met with this lovely family at Summit Park. They were a joy to photograph. Mom and Dad had some amazing tricks up their sleeves to make the boys smile and it was fun to watch them all interact together. It's so golden and beautiful up at the park and we made the most of the beautiful morning light.
When I was contacted in the spring about this session I was so excited, because they had plans to bring their wands and wanted some magic added in! I love that! We had a beautiful day yesterday and used all sorts of beautiful corners of Beacon Hill Park to take photos of this extended family. Here are a few of my favourites....
On Saturday I was honoured to offer my services for Blossoming at the Farm's first Family Fun Day. This fundraiser was to help highlight the programming of this wonderful school, the beauty of the farm and the work they do there and the proceeds went towards providing accessible programming for children and youth.
The whole day was amazingly fun. There were farm games, face painting, animal interactions (who doesn't like feeding llamas?) disc golf and so much more! I was there to photograph the families or fairies that crossed my path and I had a ton of fun with it!
And of course I have to give a special thanks to my two little men who helped me all day (glitter count down anyone?) and had the biggest smiles on their dirty, candy fuelled faces at the end of the day!
Here are some of my faves from the day!
